Creator Agreement

This Creator Agreement governs the relationship between The Mad Space and creators. By submitting designs or concepts, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.
1. Eligibility
Must be at least 13 years old (18 if in EU/UK). Must own or have rights to submit designs or concepts. Must have valid email address and complete creator registration.
2. Two Creator Types
There are two ways to earn on The Mad Space: (1) Concept Submitters - submit ideas and earn 10-20% when your concept becomes a product; (2) Creator Submitters - submit your own designs and earn 25-35% on every sale.
3. Commission Structure
Concept Submitters: 10% (0-25 sales), 15% (26-100 sales), 20% (101+ sales). Creator Submitters: 25% (0-25 sales), 30% (26-100 sales), 35% (101+ sales). Founding Creators are locked at 35% for life regardless of sales volume. Commission is calculated on the profit (sale price minus production cost), not on the full sale price.
4. Payouts
Request a payout from your dashboard whenever your available balance reaches $25 CAD. Payouts are sent manually by PayPal or bank transfer, typically within a few business days of the request.
5. Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of your original designs. By submitting, you grant The Mad Space a non-exclusive, worldwide license to reproduce on products. You represent and warrant that: (i) you own all rights to your submitted designs; (ii) your designs do not infringe, misappropriate, or violate any third party intellectual property, copyright, trademark, or other proprietary right; and (iii) your designs are original creations created by you.
6. Content Guidelines
Required: JPEG, PNG, or WebP files, max 5MB, 300 DPI recommended. Prohibited: Copyrighted images, trademarks, offensive content, AI-generated content without rights.
7. Review Process
All designs and concepts are reviewed by a person, typically within 24 to 48 hours. Automated tools (file metadata checks and an AI-assisted image analysis) may inform that review; they never decide it, and no submission is rejected by an automated filter alone. AI-generated work is not accepted. Rejection reasons are provided via email.
8. Termination
You may remove designs or request account deletion at any time. We may remove content for violation. Existing orders will be fulfilled upon termination.
9. Taxes
Creators are responsible for their own taxes. We may issue tax forms where required. Consult a tax professional for advice.
